A turtle, but why does it have a neck like a snake A turtle, but why does it have a neck like a snake?! Hmm…

Hey, hot-blooded folks, meet the Chelodina siebenrocki, also known as the Long-necked Turtle.
Curious? Check out this video!

Just imagine: a turtle with an incredibly long neck that can slither around just like a snake! The Siebenrocki Long-necked Turtle, one of the most unique reptiles from Merauke, Papua.

Unlike ordinary turtles that retract their heads straight into their shells, this side-necked turtle species has a unique way of folding its neck to the side of its shell when it feels threatened.

But don’t be fooled—in the water, that long neck actually becomes a deadly hunting weapon! They’ll creep along quietly, then boom! They’ll shoot their heads out lightning-fast to snatch any fish or shrimp passing by.

Interesting, isn’t it? Come visit Bali Reptile Park to see this super-exotic “snake-necked” turtle in person.

Thank you for watching, and stay tuned for our next video.

Hi Hot Blooded! We know that reptiles are covere Hi Hot Blooded!

We know that reptiles are covered in scales, but do you know why they need them? here is the explanation

One reason reptiles have scales is to protect their bodies from predators. These scales are made of keratin—the same substance in human hair and nails.

Second, scales keep water inside their bodies. This is very important so they don't get thirsty or dry in hot places.

Some reptiles, like snakes, even use their scales to grip the ground and move. so interesting right? Do you know of any other functions?
